"The Art of the Successful Pivot: A Part of the Next Normal"
Pivots (course corrections) are a normal part of the successful small business operations. These pivots will occur as a business matures, or as markets/customers/products change. Unfortunately for today's business owners, once the need (or the opportunity) to pivot is recognized, there is very little time to undertake successfully. In 2019, out of the Top 20 reasons for small business failure, #20 was "failure to pivot"; #13 was a "pivot gone bad; #3 was "out-competed" (which is a result of #13).
This overview is provided by the Greater Cayce West Columbia Chamber & Business Center, in concert with the MTC Center for
Entrepreneurial Success to help you, as the business owner, think through the need, the challenges, and the risk/rewards of pivoting your business. We will use the Business Model Canvas to explore your opportunities.
