Event activities:
 
  • Ribbon Cutting (6 pm)
  • Story Time (6:15 pm) with Lexington School District 4 teacher Brady Howard as she reads our first book While Mommy Was Fast Asleep (whose main character is blind)
  • South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind will host an interactive Braille station
  • Free massages by Erin Plott from Massage Mechanics of South Carolina
  • Light Refreshments from MaryAnn Keim of MAK’s Meals and Julie Winn of MiniCakes
  • A portion of evening proceeds will fund the Braille book club for students at the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind

Vestra Lingua Publishing is an innovative “no-cost publishing” idea that will make a positive difference in our community by leveraging the talents of local authors, illustrators, and editors. 
 
 “My family has lived in Cayce - West Columbia since 1952 and I love the Midlands,” says publisher Lisa Cole. “I am passionate about strengthening education and excited to champion literacy through great books by local talent.”

Holiday Market is the Junior League of Columbia’s largest fundraiser, which generated more than $275,000 in 2018 to support our many initiatives that give back to the Columbia community and promote our mission of healthy and happy children and families.
 
Each year, thousands of shoppers head to the S.C. State Fairgrounds to find the perfect gifts from nearly 170 merchants and take part in our festive Preview Party, the always sold-out Ladies Night Out event and a chance to snap the perfect picture with Santa during Sundaes with Santa.
 
Tickets go on sale October 1 at www.jlcolumbia.org. So, start making your holiday gift lists, mark your calendars and don’t miss this exciting shopping event that is sure to bring you many memories this holiday season!

The Greater Cayce - West Columbia Holiday Parade of Lights is one of the most anticipated holiday parades in the Midlands of South Carolina!   For more information click HERE!

This beloved night time parade begins at 5:30 pm in front of the Cayce Municipal Complex, located at 1800 12th Street, and will proceed down 12th to 12th Street & Hwy 1 in West Columbia.
